Temptation or simple comfort ?

Temptation or simple comfort ?

The greatest threat to our intimacy with God is rarely just indulging in the temptations and lusts of this World, but simply being distracted and ignoring the Kingship of Christ. – C

I am often reminded of this. It’s not like I am on the verge of living a life full of sin and debauchery, but more often it’s comfort that sways my gaze from the Father.

Living a self sufficient life sustained by things of this world will leave you malnourished spiritually and unprepared. You will become unaware of the unseen battle around you and unprepared to step up to the plate when greatness is required. Furthermore the guilt of lacking spiritual nourishment will surely sedate your efforts to invite others into the saving knowledge of Christ.

I often forget that it’s DAILY BREAD that we must partake in. We need to allow our minds to be shaped by the goodness, purity and righteousness of all that He is. His Word is a tool of cleansing and transformation for our minds. To be in His presence can wash away every worry, every doubt and replenish your spirit.

I invite you to redirect your attention to the God most high. To not just be aware of Him,
But to acknowledge Him daily, to enter into His presence with Thanksgiving and invite others into relationship with Him. ❤️

Thank you God for all that you are. You are a Glorious Wonder! I miss the deep joy of your presence. Come now to where I am, to where we are… longing for more of You. Stir a hunger within us for your Word, your Truth, your Presence. Shine your light upon us exposing the darkness and making us pure. Lord shine through your children in this wretched World. Redirect our sights to You and Your Kingdom ?. I love you Lord

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,”
‭‭COLOSSIANS‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭NASB‬‬

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
